I found this native wild orchid when my son and I visited The Connecticut College Arboretum in June one summer. This small native orchid is beautiful. It has a pretty pink lip and soft creme petals and sepals.

The showy lady’s slipper is a rare wild orchid. I was fortunate to see a large group of this plant at the Eshqua Bog Natural area in Vermont.
